We are Celbridge’s local FETC (Further Education and Training Centre) – a place for adult learners to prepare themselves for employment, higher education, or access new opportunities. Our full-time courses are designed to equip adults with the training they need while allowing them to retain social welfare benefits and access certain allowances while they learn.
Increase your employment prospects by upskilling or retraining
Our courses are designed to meet the needs of learners over the age of 18, especially early school-leavers, and prepare them for entry into employment or higher education.
They are also tailored for high-demand employment areas such as in business and healthcare.
Our courses also encourage learners to develop their confidence and interpersonal skills as they ready themselves for the next step in their career, be it for the workplace or higher education institute.
Why come here?
Free: Our courses are free. There is no charge for books or materials. You will not lose any of your social welfare benefits.
Extra financial supports: You may be entitled to meal and travel allowances. You may also be eligible to child care support.
Other supports: Free access to career guidance and counselling service.
Working: Limited part-time working is permitted in line with the demands of the course.
Who is eligible?
People who are over 18 years of age and in receipt of (or a dependent spouse in receipt of) an eligible social welfare payment.
This course will offer a deeper exploration of how globalisation and consumerism are threatening the survival of life and how to react to this.
It aims to show participants how to reduce waste in their homes and communities.
